So earlier today I pierced my trigus myself. Yes I know it was extremely stupid and I wasnt thinking. It didn't hurt at all and I barely bled, I think I did a really good job. But then I read online that some tragic piercings can paralyse your face/ even kill you??? Is that true? I used sanitary equipment/ earring and I feel fine, I'm just really worried
Any break in the skin can result in serious consequences, depending on the situation.
“Sanitary” isn’t good enough when it comes to piercing. The piercing instrument and jewelry must actually be STERILE for safety.
And, an earring doesn’t belong in a tragus piercing—body jewelry does. If you are wearing an ordinary earring, chances are you should wash your hands, wash the area and jewelry, and take it out.
If you are wearing properly fitting, high quality body jewelry, you should care for the piercing as explained here.
If you think you see any signs of infection, you should go to a doctor.
